Day 10 (forgot defining plan..): • Did coding for 5hr hackatimes hrs but tbh gave 10+ hrs • Learn many things in threejs and made a mvp of my first 3d game! • Watched godot tutorial(did yesterday but it was for 1.5 hrs that covers today ;) Day 11: • Complete 3d game • Submit project in luna hackathon • Do 6 hr of hackatime coding!!

Day 10/

! I'm still feeling sick, but it's getting better and I think it'll be gone by Monday. I set pretty low expectations for myself today, but I did more than I thought I would so that feels good. • I wrote an about me page for my new personal website! I lowkey dread writing but once I got in the flow it was pretty fun! • I went through a past reading paper for Japanese. To get the the most points you basically need to be understanding everything and including it in your answer + analysing the implications or subtext. I can translate the text easily, but it's that deeper understanding and being able to use that information to answer the questions that I find harder. I don't think this counts as study, but I watched the film Happyend with subtitles and really enjoyed it. • Did practice tests for my licence exam - I'm feeling more and more confident that I'll be able to pass :) • Did a little work on my game.

Day 7 1. Relaxed, had a massive sleep in after the exam 2. Started studying for RE scholarship, the topic is inclusivity in the Catholic Church so today I went over LGBTQ+ in the catholic church and some catechism stuff etc to get proper quotes and sources. 3. Did some work for #C08HX0F11BP| 4. Played a game 5. Went sailing for a few hours 6. Had a meeting with Tristan who is a uni student about KiwiHacks, he’s helping with marketing and a few connection things too! 7. Study for computer science - methods of encryption Relatively productive day!

Day 8 outta

! Great googly moogly! • Fixed a bug in Milkyway Pets where tray menu entries weren't being removed when clicked. Worked a bit on my other game, Burning Rain. • Read ~30 pages of the comic 俺物語. I had to look up a lot of vocab, but I could get the general jist of a lot of sentences. • Did some practice tests for my licence exam. It turns out that there are new questions being introduced next month, so I'll probably sit the test after my Japanese exam next week. That'll be the first goal ticked off my list! • Made a post about my YSWS idea, If you have any thoughts or feedback on the concept let me know!

day seven! this day was actually wild: • coded for 2.7 Hackatime hrs on the game (it might not seem like much, but considering I had training and school from 8:15AM to 3:45PM that's pretty crazy) • pretty cool training, getting ready for a race this saturday got a lot of progress on my game (which I'm doing together with @KittyCat -- she's doing the art and maybe some coding as well)

nothing much today, just felt a lot more tired (slept at 2 again 😛 ) clouds look like apple intelligence spent an hour of vgd fixing a single checkbox to get my score timer to work in godot, now it does ! hopefully i can modify the game tmrw 🤞 also, i told my parents about hc, and my pcb is arriving tmrw 🙂 soldering iron by next week hopefully

DAY 8/

: • Chilled out and hanged out with friends most day part :DD • Played noita + some funny jack in a box game :DD • Started learning about CTF ◦ Today bit of steganography • As well coded on godot for bit ;)) ◦ added some scene lights ◦ added ability to uneqiup And in general had fun

completely forgot to post yesterday but i worked on a game for mikyway :)

LEARNING GODOT!!! skillsusa is in 2 months, gotta make a video game, don’t know how to code, thank you godot for having excellent documentation and starter guide, i made a video game!!!, i can move a character!!! i feel awake for the first time in weeks :)) probably bcs im getting like 6-7 hours of sleep school is chill, friends are amazing, supportive, and cure my depression gotta lock in for homework, but i’d rather doomscroll ahh im getting my thoughts out yt shorts is very addicting

Day 7/50 I've discovered the .warc file format and I'm now using it to archive thevalleyofcode (see day 6). I've made a small python script to archive a whole website with a whitelist so I don't escape to google.com and scrap the internet

I've also read a small paper on FastWARC (python library for archiving) but I won't count it for my 50 days goals as it's only one page

: • Hard reseted and reinstalled everything on my pc and HOLY SHIT 150GUGS OF SPACE, feels great after living w 10-3gigs for past 1 year

• Played dbd • Installed tailscale on rpi4 and got it to host static website across internet

• Debugged backing up clean windows copy for 3hrs, it always ends at 97.. im telling you this is rigged and at the end decided to end it and not to backup

• Also close to 60 members in #C09BE8QF1V5| :DD • Coded my next game MUT4ARR as well planed out features bit better :DD • Got kali on wsl set up and this night gonna try some ctf.. hopefully

day 7 of 50 days till 2026 I finished my c++ assignment for the week and made a battleship game! I had been procrastinating on this for a bit because the object file we are required to use as an api is built exclusively for x86_64 and we have no access to compiling it ourselves so I couldn't work on it on my mac. I realized I could just clone my repo to my server and do the assignment over ssh and ended up doing that today.

day fiveeee made amazing asteroids for my game they should go away if they touch the ground but that's not the case because I couldn't figure that out and now imma eep because school tomorrow. tomorrow we will fix this shit :3

• (Not an Incremental) Added a new "Action" class with a bunch of inherited objects that you add under nodes that need them and they run specific code like obtaining some stat or purchasing something! Might merge this with the upgrade system somehow • (Not an Incremental) Added a new platform to test it. Also, made a Platform class that listens to the signal bus (added that as well) for a sign that the platform was purchased • (Not an Incremental) Basically a bunch of infra for the game. And now I'm stuck with the looming horror of designing the actual game

On another note: • Gym today, push day raaah • stopped listening to white noise and started listening to the alan becker lofi livestream • today was much more productive, maybe tomorrow I can actually go back to doing my regular 5hrs/day? not yet 10/day tho can't post video cause too lazy to open OBS or download a clip thingy so here's a pic of after the purchase

oops! it's already day three for me anyways: i've done a lot of things. mentally it wasn't going too well with me the last few days, slowly going better. also slowly picking up programming again, did like 1.3 hrs and some reading! today I: • added a FSM (finite state machine) for my player in my game • made a Reddit post about my website (I need 100 upvotes for #C09L1BDSC68|, pls upvote @ www.reddit.com/r/astrojs/comments/1ox9a8h/showoff_made_my_first_complete_website_feedback) • learned for my last test in the test week! • worked at the supermarket :P > maintain good grades i got a pretty good grade for maths! 8.4/10, not bad right! also last few days i still read a bit about godot and learned for physics and a few other subjects lol here's a nice picture of today:

*day 3/50* still sick, but I did manage to add K.K. Slider songs to tanuki! you can now select the "k.k. slider" game, and you'll get a new button allowing you to skip a song. there's also a new "random" option which shuffles through tracks from every game!

Day 2/50.... I finished writing the background for all of the characters for the "game." I did more picrews for the character images as well. I also worked on writing more code. I finished adding all locations to the print statement for choosing a location, and I moved around some parts of my code so that certain variables and methods could be accessible throughout all of the code. I'll try to work way more on the actual code tomorrow if I'm not sick. I read more of 1984 earlier this morning, which is helping me get toward my reading goals for the remaining 50 days :]

*day 2/50* today was a smaller day since i'm sick (why is everyone else getting sick too???) but I did manage to make tanuki save the selected game to a persistent store! i had to add quite a lot of checks and some workarounds for Svelte not marking things accessed in await as dependencies (why??), but it does work! here's some of the code, ignore the typescript errors

Started work on my first game for #C09EZSEMB16|! It's a second go at an idea for a puzzle-platformer I dreamed up a few years ago. It's called Burning Rain, after the acid rain which is the primary obstacle of the game. I'm hoping that this jam will challenge me to polish up a game into something beautiful, rather than the usual mostly-working state my projects end up in.

I'm working on adding support for different tempos and time signatures to my rhythm game. So far I've got the initial BPM being read, but not any tempo changes throughout the song. It's been really fun so far because MIDI and SMF don't really seem to have any accessible C# libraries or quality documentation (that I've been able to find so far) so I've had to make everything from scraps of other people's code, technical documentation, and my own two braincells.
